Dear Mr. Mobley:
This will confirm our telephone conversation of May 25, 1993 relating to NRC's visit to review the Tennessee Radiation Control Program for Agreement Materials. The visit is scheduled for June 7-9, 1993 in Nashville.
This will be an informal visit to assess the status of your program and to discuss any topics of mutual concern. The usual questions sent to you in preparation for a full review will not be needed for this visit.
As discussed, Mr. Jerry D. Ennis, Radiation Specialist (HP), from our Nuclear Materials Safety and Safeguards Branch would also like to visit your office for the purpose of updating our information relative to three facilities that were formerly licensed by NRC. The facilities are as follows:
o Union Carbide, Lawrenceburg, TN O
American Lava, Chattanooga, TN o
David Witherspoon, Knoxville, TN We would appreciate any help that you can provide with regard to these facilities, such as personal recollections and facility record files.
