Docket No. 50-482 i
Mr. Bart D. Withers I
President and Chief Executive Officer s
Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation Post Office Box 411 Burlington, Kansas 66859
Dear Mr. Withers:
SUBJECT:
WOLF CREEK GENERATING STATION:
REQUEST TO WITHHOLD FROM PUBLIC DISCLOSURE INFORMATION PROVIDED AS ATTACHMENT TO LER-93-006-00 l
1 By letter dated April 30, 1993, Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) submitted Licensee Event Report (LER) 93-006-00, " Hot Particle Picked Up During Filling and Venting of the Safety Injection System Results in Exposure Exceeding 10 CFR 20.101 Requirements." The letter stated that the attachment to the LER provides personal information and should not be disclosed.
The staff has reviewed your submittal and the material in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 2.790 and has determined that the submitted information sought to be withheld contains personal privacy information.
i Therefore, the staff has determined that the information provided as i'
" Attachment to LER 93-006-00" will be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(a)(6).
Please note that LER-93-006-00, with the information provided as the attachment deleted, will be made available to the public.
l By letters dated April 27, 1992 and December 31, 1992, WCNOC submitted LER 92-007-00 and LER 92-007-01 which also dealt with an individual exposure exceeding 10 CFR 20.101 requirements. The December 31, 1992 letter specifically asked that the information provided as an attachment be withheld
[
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790. The staff had previously withheld both the original LER and the revision because it contained personal information required to be submitted by 10 CFR 20.405. The staff would like to take this opportunity to inform WCNOC that the attachment to LER 92-007-01 has also been determined to contain personal privacy information and will therefore be i
withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(a)(6). However, the j
information provided in LER 92-007-00 and LER 92-007-01, except for the j
attached personal information, which had previously been withheld from public
~
disclosure, will now be made available for public disclosure.
Sincerely, 1
