3 g
W ASW NGTON, D. C. 20555 May 28, 1993 The Honorable Rick Santorum Member, United States House of Representatives 541 Fifth Avenue McKeesport, PA 15132
Dear Congressman Santorum:
I am responding to your May 5,1993, letter requesting the status of Technical Communications Inc.'s proposal submitted in response to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) solicitation RS-ADM-93-138.
All proposals received under the above solicitation are currently being evaluated to determine which offerors merit inclusion in the competitive range.
The following steps remain to be taken under this procurement:
(1)
Establish competitive range; (2)
Notify offerors whether their firm is in or out of the competitive range; (3)
Conduct negotiations with those offerors in the competitive range; (4)
Afford offerors in the competitive range an opportunity to submit a "Best and Final" proposal, making any revisions deemed necessary to enhance their proposal; (5)
Evaluate "Best and Final" proposals against the criteria delineated in the solicitation; and (6)
Award a contract to the firm who offers the most advantageous technical / cost relationship to the government for the solicited requirement.
The NRC anticipates announcing the award under this solicitation in the I
Commerce Business Daily on or about July 30, 1993.
I I trust this reply responds to your request.
l l
Sincerely, l.
