Twinsburg, Ohio 44087 RE: Additional Information for Permit te Operate Reneval Applications for the CEI Perry Plant Auxiliary Boilers t

h

Dear Ms. Heli,

i The following information is being provided in response to questions raised during your inspection of the Perry Plant Auxiliary Boilers on May 27, 1993.

Volume of oil used in 1992 - 274,484 gallons Average percent sulfur content -.175% (This is the average of five analyses:

3/11 - 0.14%, 3/12 - 0.14%, 4/11 - 0.165%, 4/28 - 0.16%,- and 10/23 - 0.27%. )

Justification of 75 million BTU /hr maximum input capacity - The rated input capacity of the boiler is 124 million BTU /hr (based on 881 gal /hr at 7.2 lb/ gal

(

and 19,600 BTU /lb). Because there are fever loads on the boiler than i

originally anticipated, 75 million BTU /hr was established by Perry engineering l

as the input maximum to be used.

Please contact us if you have questions or need additional information.

Sincerely,

// /
