WITHDRAWAL OF ASME CODE RELIEF REQUEST - JAMES A. FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT.(TAC NO. M84883)
By letter dated October 5, 1992, you requested relief from the requirements of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code,Section XI, Subsection IWD-5223(a)~(1980 Edition through Winter 1981 Addenda), as it applies to testing of the ReactorLCore Isolation Cooling (RCIC) system at the James' A.
FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant. This relief request provided information.to support applying Code Case N-498 to the' Class III RCIC system.
Code Case N-498 allows performance'of a ' system inservice test at nominal operating pressure in lieu of the 10-year hydrostatic test.
Subsequently, by [[letter::JAFP-93-0265, Special Rept 93-003 Re Nonfunctional Fire Barrier Penetration Seal Due to Design & Equipment Problems.Drain Piping Installed,Penetration Sealed & Determined to Be Operable on 930420|letter dated May 3, 1993]], you withdrew the relief request.
