STEAM GENERATOR TUBE ALTERNATE PLUGGING' CRITERIA.
During a Joint Meeting of the Advisory Committee on React 6r Safeguards (ACRS)
Materials and Metallurgy and Structural Engineering Subcommittees on March 10, 1993, the Subcommittee on Materials and Metallurgy requested'several documents from the statt. _ In particular, Dr. Catton requested a copy of NRC.Bulletin 88-02, " Rapidly Propagating Fatigue Cracks in Steam Generator Tubes" (Enclosure 1),
a typical response to NRC Bulletin 88-02 (Enclosure 2), and the portion of an_
alternate plugging criteria submittal that discusses steam. generator tube loadings other than pressure (Enclosure 3). In addition, Dr. Michelson requested a copy of the. meeting minutes from the December 22, 1992, meeting between the staff and the Electric Power Research Institute regarding alternate steam generator tube repair criteria (Enclosure 4), and a copy of the paper. presented by Mr. William T. Russell at the Regulatory Information Conference in July _1992 (Enclosure 5).
The enclosed documents are being forwarded to you for Dr. -Catton and Dr.
Michelson.
