INSERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM AND STEAM GENERATOR EDDY
CURRENT EXAMINATION - BEAVER VALLEY POWER STATION,
UNIT 1, REGION I INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-334/93-08
This refers to the announced inspection intended to promote public health and safety
conducted by
Mr. P. Patnaik of this office from April 12-16, 1993, at the Beaver Valley Power Station,
Shippingport, Pennsylvania. Mr. Patnaik discussed the findings with your staff on
April 16,1993, at the conclusion of the inspection. This inspection included observation of
nondestructive testing practices, a review of the inservice inspection program of the reactor
coolant system, and the eddy current examination of steam generator tubes. These are all
important aspects of maintaining presc':,e boundary integrity.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations were observed, and therefore, no response
