NOTICE OF VIOLATION The Detroit Edison Company Docket No. 50-341 License No. NPF-43 As a result of the inspection conducted from March 10, 1993, through May 3, 1993, a violation of NRC requirements was identified.
In accordance with the
" General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions,"
10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1993), the violation is listed below:
i A.
Technical Specification 4.8.4.4(a) requires that the two Reactor Protection System (RPS) electric power monitoring assemblies (EPA) for each inservice RPS Motor Generator set or alternate power supply shall be demonstrated operable by the performance of a channel functional test.
Contrary to the above, on March 4,1993, in response to NRC concerns, the licensee discovered tnat the EPAs for both of RPS motor generators had not been functionally tested in accordance with Technical Specification 4.8.4.4(a) since March 1991.
