$5,669 REPROGRAMMING ADJUSTMENTS FIRST OVARTER PROGRAM CHANGES (Reflected in 12/31/92 Baseline)
The program changes, shown in the table, have resulted primarily from funding adjustments and the use of $520K in unobligated carryover funds. These changes are related to maintenance of the newly implemented accounting system at the NRC; workshops in connection with the NRC Agreement States program; training material on funds control procedures; reviewing DOE's License i
Application Annotated outlines for a monitored retrievable storage (MRS) facility; realignment of the organizational structure for the Office of the Licensing Support System Administrator; a telephone switching system; mission related travel activities; and salaries and benefits and program support for the Office of the Inspector General.
PROPOSED PROGRAM CHANGES (Reflected in Revised Allocation)
The proposed program changes shown in the table will result in the utilization of funds which were unobligated at the end of FY 1992 and were carried over into FY 1993 to meet the programmatic needs of the agency as described below.

The proposed program changes reflect an increase in contractual support to update NRC's environmental Standard Review Plan, and to review topical reports submitted by industry. The proposed changes are also needed to fund mission essential travel at its current level.
Nuclear Materials and Low-Level Waste Safety and Safeguards Regulation The proposed program changes reflect an increase in contractual support to perform radiological site surveys needed as NRC reviews the decommissioning of nine non-power reactors.
Nuclear Safety Management and Support The program changes reflect increases in contractual support and travel for the agency's regulatory review group, and increases in contract support for agency training and for ADP support to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
