Dear Mr. Swift:
In response to your letter of January 8,
- 1993, Cimarron Corporation submitted the additional information requested for your further review of the 10 CFR 20.302 onsite burial.
The submittal was made on February 25,
- 1993, following discussions with the Project Manager Mr. Gary Comfort and, in accordance with those discussions, addressed fully the items raised a' "t the burial site identification and stabilization.
Subsequently, Roy Smith of Cimarron Corporation;and I met on April 13,1993 with Mr. Comfort and other Commission staff at which the 10 CFR 20.302 burial was further discussed. Mr. Comfort stated the information we had provided was satisfactory, that he anticipated no concerns would arise from the further review and that final approval was expected " shortly".
In light of this, we request approval to begin using the designated disposal site immediately. The decommissioning activity cannot proceed efficiently unless we can start disposing the option 2 material per our application.
