SNM Material License SNM-1097, Docket # 70-1113 With reference to activities authorized by NRC License SNM-1097 at the General Electric Nuclear Fuel and Components Manufacturing (NF&CM) facility in Wilmington, NC, GE hereby notifies you of our intent to begin construction of a building to be located within the Controlled Access Area (CAA).
The proposed building is approximately 130' wide by 365' long with an eave height of approximately 25'.
It will be located approximately sixty feet north of the present FMO-X building within the CAA.
The design is a pre-engineered metal building with an insulated metal roof, insulated metal wall sheets and a concrete floor.
Construction shall meet or exceed all State and local codes.
The current plans are to use the building for refurbishment and storage of shipping containers, however, future use may vary.
