SUBJECT:
ISSUANCE OF EXEMPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF REVISED 10 CFR PART 20 FOR THE FORT ST. VRAIN POWER STATION The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued the enclosed exemption in response to your letter of November 25, 1992, requesting an exemption in accordance with 10 CFR 20.2301 from the revised requirements in 10 CFR 20.1001 through 20.2401 of the Code of Federal Reaulations.
Instead of implementing the revised 10 CFR Part 20 by January 1, 1994, as required, the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Power Station will complete the decommissioning under the current requirements of 10 CFR 20.1 through 20.601.
Based on the NRC staff's enclosed Safety Evaluation, NRC has granted your exemption request pursuant to 10 CFR 20.2301.
The exemption has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Reaister for publication.
