- 1) That GA does not object to the redacted versions of the documents E117-1017, Revision 1, Operations and Maintenance Manual NMP-1000 Linear Power Channel and T3401000-1UM, Revision B, NMP-1000, Multi-Range Linear Module User Manual, which indicate that they are copyrighted by GA, being placed in NRC public ADAMS.
- 2) That GA did not intend to redact any of the information in the document T9S900SQAP, Revision B, Software Quality Assurance Plan, and the document may be made public in ADAMS in its entirety.

Following your confirmation, we will go ahead and make the T9S900SQAP, Revision B, Software Quality Assurance Plan and the redacted versions of the other 4 documents publicly-available in ADAMS, and also place your emails in public ADAMS for documentation. We will also still plan to send a letter to GA formally responding to GAs 1/8/20 withholding request (a letter requesting re-submittal or additional information regarding the submittal may not be necessary if any questions can be otherwise addressed).

Hello Mr. Grogan and Dr. Gormley, I wanted to confirm NRCs receipt of a submission (dated 1/8/2020) and 10 CFR 2.390 withholding request from General Atomics related the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UML) docket (50-223). At a quick glance I noticed that the submittal appears to include un-redacted and redacted versions of 5 documents referenced in UMLs RAI responses. It appears that GA has requested withholding of both versions of each document from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390, but I just wanted to get an initial clarification whether this was your intent (or you only wished to have the un-redacted versions withheld).
NRC will begin a review of the withholding request, and will respond to GA by letter (with cc: to UML) with a determination, or if additional information is needed. Please dont hesitate to contact me if any questions.
