NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-382/93-13
This refers to the inspection conducted by Jack Keeton of this office, and the
!
personnel identified in the enclosed report, on March 1-5, 1993. The
i
inspection included an assessment of the qualifications of individuals who had
applied for licenses to operate your Waterford 3 Steam Electric Station
i
facility. The inspection also included administration of a requalification-
1
retake examination to one licensed individual. At the conclusion of the
!
inspection, findings of generic significance were discussed with those members
of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of evaluation of license applicants by
i
the use of written examinations, dynamic simulations, selected job-related
tasks, and oral questioning in accordance with NUREG-1021, " Operator Licensing
l
Examiner Standards," Revision 6.
The results of this inspection are

documented on pages 1 and 2, in the enclosed report.

Based on the results of this inspection, all 12 applicants for. licenses to
operate your Waterford 3 Steam Electric Station facility satisfied the
requirements of 10 CFR 55.33(a)(2) and have been issued the appropriate
licenses. One licensed operator was administered and passed a written

requalification retake examination.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
