This is a Category 2 meeting. The public is invited to participate in this meeting by discussing regulatory issues with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) at designated points identified on the agenda.

Purpose:

The purpose of this meeting between NRC staff and industry is to discuss EMBARK Venture Studio's initiative to explore ideas to optimize the endorsement of the ASME code in 10 CFR 50.55a. This idea generation process is focusing on a variety of topics such as the reevaluation of what is mandated in 10 CFR 50.55a and streamlining the rulemaking process.
