20555 Subj ect: Technical Specification 4.4.5.Sa Report of Steam Generator Tube Plugging Gentlemen:
1 This letter is submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS) Unit Number 1, Operating License, Appendix A, Technical Specifications. Technical Specification 4.4.5.5a requires Toledo Edison to report to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) the number of tubes plugged in each steam generator 1
(SG) following each inservice inspection of steam generator tubes.
The Eighth Refueling Outage SG tube inservice inspection was completed on March 26, 1993. As a result of the inspection findings, 43 tubes were plugged in SG 1-1 and 321 tubes vere plugged in SG 1-2.
In addition, preventive sleeving was installed in 213 tubes in SG 1-1.
Toledo Edison vill provide the complete results of the steam generator tube inservice inspection in accordance with Technical Specifications 4.4.5.5b and 6.9.1.5b.
This report will include: 1. The number and extent of tubes inspected, 2. The location and percent of vall-thickness penetration for each indication of an imperfection, and
- 3. The identification of tubes plugged or sleeved. This report is submitted on an annual basis and is due March 31, 1994.
