LABORATORIES ON GE NUCLEAR ENERGY'S (GE's) PANTHERS TEST PROGRAM FOR THE SIMPLIFIED BOILING WATER REACTOR (SBWR)
Enclosed for your records is a letter dated March 30, 1993, sent by Mr. Alan Levin of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to Dr. Atam Rao of GE.
The enclosed letter provides an information copy of questions that NRC forwarded under separate cover to SIET Laboratories regarding the passive containment cooling (PCC) and isolatten condenser (IC) separate-effects tests for the SBWR design. The questions are meant to be focal points for discus-sion during the NRC and Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards staff visit to the PANTHERS test facility in Piacenza, Italy on April 23 1993.
The questions should not be considered NRC staff requests for adc ional informa-tion; therefore, written responses from GE are not necessary.
