SUBJECT: COMBINED INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-352/93-03 AND 50-353/93-03

This letter transmits the results of the resident safety inspection by Messrs. T. Kenny
T. Easlick, and M. Buckley from February 7 - March 13,1993, at the Limerick Generating
Station, Limerick, Pennsylvania. The inspection focused on the observation of activities
i
important to ensuring the public health and safety. Reviews of documents and interviews of
l
plant personnel were also performed. The results have been discussed with Mr. J. Doering
,
of your staff.
The inspectors noted prompt and comprehensive corrective actions taken, by your staff,
regarding the failed and missing fuel identified on Unit 2. The actions included the
j
formulation and implementation of a " Failed Fuel Action Plan" that considers the
radiological effects on further operation of Unit 2.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and
its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
