Dear Mr. Karalewitz:
I am responding to a petition you filed with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on June 22, 1992, pursuant to Section 2.206 of Title 10 of the _Gade of Federal Reculations (10 C.F.R s2.206). The petition requested that the facility operating license for the Fermi 2 nuclear plant be suspended untii certain supervisors are replaced. As a basis for your request, you alleged that certain security department supervisors lied and submitted falsified documents to the NRC.
You also alleged that these supervisors engaged in a conspiracy to revoke your access to the protected area at Fermi 2 and to have you dismissed.
In a letter of August 3, 1992, I informed you that your petition had been referred to my office for preparation of a response.
In that acknowledgement letter, I stated that, as provided by 10 C.F.R 52.206, the NRC would take appropriate action on the specific issues raised in your petition within a reasonable period of time.
The allegations contained in your petition were referred to the Office of Investigations Field Office in Region III for review.
Your request has been considered under tne provisions of 10 C.F.R 62.206 of the Commission's regulations. For reasons set forth in the enclosed
" Director's Decision Under 10 C.F.R 52.206," I have denied your request.
A copy of the Director's Decision is being filed with the Secretary for review by the Commission in accordance with 10 C.F.R s2.206(c). _The Director's Decision will constitute the final action of the Comnission' 25 days after the date of issuance of the Decision unless the Connission, on its own motion, institutes a review of the Decision within that time.
