REVISION NO. 4 TO THE FIRE PROTECTION REVIEW REPORT, SUSQUEHANNA STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (SSES), UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 (PLA-317)
(TAC NOS. M75910 AND M75911)
The staff has completed review of Revision No. 4 to the SSES Fire Protection Review Report submitted via your letter dated December 29, 1989, and supplemented by letter dated August 29, 1991.
The staff's review is based on a technical evaluation performed by our contractor, " Science Applications International Corporation" (SAIC). As discussed in the enclosed safety evaluation and Technical Evaluation Report, the staff finds that:
- 1) Revision 4 to the Fire Protection Review Report is acceptable, 2) the revisions to previously-approved Deviation Requests as described in your letter of December 29, 1989, are acceptable, 3) new Deviation Request 38 is acceptable, and 4) the Safe Shutdown Analysis submitted by your letter of June 30, 1988, is acceptable. Deviation Requests Nos. 39 and 40 will be evaluated as part of a separate action.
