SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-445/93-07; 50-446/93-07

This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. W. B. Jones and the inspectors

identified in the enclosed report, of this office, on January 6, 1993, through

February 13, 1993. The inspection included a review of activities authorized

for the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2, facility.

At the

conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with

Messrs. J. J. Kelley, C. L. Terry, and those members of your staff identified

in the enclosed report.

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within

,

these areas the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures

and representative records, interviews with personnel, and. observation of

activities in progress. The results of this inspection are documented on

pages 1-3 in the enclosed report.

A potentially repetitive concern was identified involving operator

l

attentiveness to main control room annunciators and an apparent lack of

meticulous attention to detail in maintaining annunciator status

'

(Section 3.1.3).
