Dear Mr. Austin:
Enclosed for your review and approval are two copies of the Final Release Survey Plan for the decommissioning of the National Park Senice property near Pawling, New York.
The Health and Safety Plan and the Decommissioning Plan for the remediation of soils at this site were previously submitted and approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("NRC").
The Decommissioning Plan for on site buildings was submitted to the NRC on February 17, 1993 and is pending NRC approval.
We seek the NRC's approval of the Building Decommissioning Plan and Final Release Survey Plan by April 1,1993 so site work can be initiated in early April 1993. (Site decommissioning activities will not be initiated until all plans are approved by the NRC.)
