Dear Mr. Thorne:
i Enclosed please find an application for a license to export 3,000,000 curies of tritium in bulk gaseous form to the United Kingdom. The material will be-l used in the manufacture of sealed light sources at Surelite Ltd..
The applicant anticipates shipments of 600,000 curies per year over a five-year period.
Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the proposed export meets all applicable export criteria.
