Charlevoix, MI 49720 Dear Mr. Beckman: SUBJECT: REVIEW 0F JANUARY 22, 1993 RESPONSE TO EXAMINATION REPORT N0. 50-155/92002(DRS) Region III staff reviewed your response and discussed it with Mr. R. Alexander and others of your staff during a teleconference on March 1,1993. Your response included proposed revisions to emergency action levels (EALs) for an anticipated transient without scram (ATWS) condition. As agreed during the teleconference, your staff will further modify one of the proposed EALs and will submit the _ revised EALs for NRC approval by April 5,1993. In December 1992, we received Revision 105 to Appendix M of the emergency- , plan, which listed the site specific EALs utilized to classify emergency events. The review of Appendix M will be completed following receipt of the revised ATWS EALs. If you have any questions, please have your staff contact Mr. T. Ploski of my staff at (708) 790-5634.
