CONCERN INVOLVING WESTINGHOUSE WORK ACTIVITIES AT BYRON i
Dear Mr. De1 George:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission recently received information involving Westinghouse work activities at your Byron Nuclear Plant. Details are enclosed.
After a review of the issue, we concluded there are no safety concerns and there i
are no regulatory bases for further action on our part. We are providing details of the issue to you for information only.
No response is required; however, l
should you review this information and determine that the issue is substantiated I
and identify any regulatory issues, please notify us in writing.
We request that your response, if necessary, contain no personal privacy, proprietary, or safeguards information so it can be released to the public and placed in the NRC Public Document Room. If necessary, such information shall be contained in a separate attachment which will be withheld from public disclosure.
The enclosure to this letter should be controlled and distribution limited to personnel with a "need to know" until your review of the concern has been completed.
The enclosure to this letter is considered Exempt from Public Disclosure in accordance with Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 2.790(a). A copy of this letter, excluding the enclosure, will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
Any response that may result from this letter will not be subject to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-5111.
