Cable Separation Startup 1ssue Identified by NRC Inspectors on -
October 5-14,1992 (Inspection Report No. 50-333/92-82)
This letter refers to the cable separation inspection conducted by Mr. R. J. Paolino, of this-
Office on December 7-9,1992, at the James A. Fitzpatrick Facility located in Scriba,
New York and subsequent telephone conversations with licensee personnel providing
additional test data and information for in-office review, through December 23,1992. The
.
result of this review was discussed by Mr. J. E. Beall, of this office, with members of your
staff on December 24,1992.
Areas important to public health and safety examined during this inspection are described in
the Region I inspection report, which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective review of procedures and representative records, interview
with personnel, and observations by the inspector regarding the cable separation startup issue
identified during the October 20,1992, NRC inspection.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
