INSPECTION .NO. 50-309/93-02
This transmits the January 1 through February 5,1993 inspection findings of Messrs.
C. Marschall and W. Olsen at the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Plant, Wiscasset, Maine.
Those findings were based on observations of activities, interviews, and document reviews,
and have been discussed with Mr. Blackmore of your staff.
During the inspection, we observed good overall performance, including strong performance
by operators during two plant shutdowns, and a thorough engineering review of the effects of
decreased steam pressure on plant safety.
