SUBJECT: ROUTINE RADIATION PROTECTION INSPECTION AT ZION NUCLEAR GENERATING
STATION ON FEBRUARY I THROUGH 5, 1993
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. P. L. Louden of
this office on February 1 through 5,1993, and a special meeting held at the
.
Regional Office on December 23, 1992.
The inspection included'a review of
authorized activities for your Zion facility. At the conclusion of the
inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff
identified in the enclosed report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of
activities in progress.

No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
'
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Cbmmission's' regulationI, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC
