Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. (NFS) hereby submits the subject application for a certificate of compliance for a Type A package to be used to transport radioactive materials at -
concentrations within the limits for low specific activity (LSA), but possibly exceeding the A2 quantity of activity. This package is a 40-gallon carbon steel drum that NFS intends to use to transport radioactive waste from its plutonium decommissioning project to Oak Ridge, TN for compaction at Scientific Ecology Group. This package will not be used as a final disposal configuration.
