l This special report is submitted in accordance with LaSalle Units 1 and 2.
Operating Licenses MPF-11 and NPF-18 respectively, Appendix A, and Technical specifications 3.7.6 and 6.6.c.
On March 28,'1990, at.2000 hours0.0231 days <br />0.556 hours <br />0.00331 weeks <br />7.61e-4 months <br />, with Unit 1 in Hot shutdown and Unit 2 defueled, a control Room floor electrical _ penetration seal was rencved to allow the rerouting of cables. This work was. required for the completion of a Human Factors Modification.

This electrical penetration seal was inoperable for greater-then seven days, exceeding the 7 day period allowed by Technical Specification <3.7.6 prior to requiring a special report.- The 7 day. limit was exceeded because the modification work could not be completed within this. tine' frame;- To assure-that the level of fire protection did not decrease during the course of this event, LaSalle met the requirements of Action Statement "a"~of Technical specification 3.7.6 by verifying fire detection on at least.one side of the affacted assembly to be operable and establishing an~ hourly fire watch.
