We would like to thank your Acting Director, Reed Reactor' Facility,
. '.Mr., Michael Pollock, for his letter dated April 20, 1990, withdrawing two Reactor Operator candidates from this May 1990 initial examination.
These candidates were withdrawn due to time constraints, as Mr. Pollock suggested in his letter.
9 It is NRC policy to schedule licensed operator examinations at least six months in advance, in order to obtain and budget the required examiner resources. However, your reactor operator candidate applications for the scheduled May 1990, received on April 9, 1990. contained three additional =
reactor operator candidates more than your office originally requested.
Subsequently, we were only able to schedule one additional reactor operator within the existing resource budget.
