US Ecology Report, " Stability of NS-1 Solidified with High Strength Asphalt," Rpt. No. USE-61-001-P, Rev. O In continuation of my telephone conversation with you on April 11, 1990, I am writing to advise you that US Ecology, Inc. '(USE) should send responses to the questions'in the NRC's Request for Additional Information (RAI).
This RAI has been with the USE since September 18, 1989, and the prolonged delay-in responding-to our RAI has caused us problems in scheduling staff resources and projecting work loads.
I understand that USE is considering-alternate methods of disposing of the bitumen. solidified NS-1 waste.
I urge you to make a decision, and to send the desired t
responses to the RAI within 30 days of the date of this. letter or to voluntarily withdraw the topical report.
If we have not received word by that time, we will take necessary steps to discontinue our review of the topical-report.
