SUBJECT:
MINUTES OF MEETING WITH NUMAEC WORKING G000P ON TECHNICAL SPECIFIEA110NS IMPROVEMENT -- LEVELOPMENT OF INSTRUMENTATION SECTION OF NEW STANDARD TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (STS)
OTSC and NRR staff met with Owners Group and Lead Plant representatives on
-[
Harch 12,1990 at the NRC White Flint office to distribute and to provide an opportunity for discussing the NRC Markup of New STS for Instrumentation Sections.
NUMARC vas not represented at the meeting.
Opening remarks eniphasized that the goals of the staff's efforts were to establish uniformity and to achieve a quality product in the new STS instrumentation sections.
I OTSB's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory consultant presented slides (Enclosure 1) to highlight format and technical improvements made in the NRC i
n4a rkup.
In Leeping with the scope of the meeting vendor specific issues were not discussed; attendee questions were to clarify the presentation and the distri-buted documents. NRC emphasized that we are available to discuss the content of the markup at any time before the next scheduled meeting. This group is i
scheduled to meet again April 2-3, 1990 to discuss instrumentation section vendor specific and generic industry issues. is a list of attendees.
