Dear Sir or Madam:
I as writing to strongly support the nomination of Mr. Frank Ashe as the Black Engineer of the Year. Mr. Ashe is an outstanding engineer, whose comitment to quality and safety make him a valuable asset to the U.S.
i Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and to his government.. During the past several years, Mr. Ashe has served the NRC in a particularly challenging and demanding position. He has been assigned the responsibilities to review l
and approve the designs of the major electrical systems at the Comanche Peak j

In successfully carrying out l
this sensitive assignment, Mr. Ashe has ably demonstrated that he is a highly i
competent engineer and an articulate and thoughtful professional. He has provided outstanding support to the NRC's licensing review of the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station. Mr. Ashe's dedication to excellence and professionalism are a credit to the agency.
l I strongly support his nomination as Black Engineer of the Year.
f Sincerely.
