COMPARISON OF PROPOSED MAINTENANCE INDICATOR NITH MAINTENANCE TRAN INSPECTION RESULTS I read with interest SECY-90-015 on the above subject.
The fact that comparisons of the proposed maintenance indicator and the maintenance team inspection results have not yielded a statistical correlation is not surprising for reasons explained in the paper.
I would expect on the other hand, that some correlation might be found in special instances where plant maintenance poi.. icy has been relatively uniform for a number of years. I would like to know more about AECD's efforts to confirm or otherwise validate the maintenance effectiveness indicator, recognising industry's variability in its approach to maintenance.
I would also be interested to know the status of industry interest in and possible use of this indicator.
