I Clinton Power Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-461 Attached are details related to the following items which were discussed with D. Smith, Materials Engineering Branch, during a meeting of November 30, 1981 to resolve issues for the Clinton SER:

12-31-81 ASME Code Paragraph NB-2332 12-31-81 Surveillance Capsule Data 4-1-82 The above items are considered by the NRC and IP to be confirmatory for CPS licensing purposes, in that the approaches are correct but that further detailed information to be submitted to the NRC by the dates-indicated.

The various. manufacturer's data are being reviewed, and we intend to send to-the NRC on or before December 31, 1981, the specific information requested.

IPC must state categorically and explicitly the extent of compli-ance to paragraphs III.B.4 and III.B.S.a.b.c and d of Appendix G,

10 CFR 50.

Response

Our specifications require that the manufacturer's inspectors meet the code requirements for.non-destructive testing.

The various manufacturer's data are being reviewed, and we intend to be able

-to certify compliance, or list specific exceptions (and Justifi-cations), on or before December. 31, 1981.

ASME Code paragraph NB-2332 IPC must certify that the materials for piping, pumps, and valves, excluding bolting, meet the requirements of paragraph NB-2332 of the ASME Code and justify deviation.

Response

Specifications for the piping, pumps, ana valves materials include requirements of NB-2332.

The various manufacturar's data are being reviewed, and we intend to be able to certify to the NRC, on or bafore December 3I, 1981, that these requirements have been met.
