Dear Mr. Bidinger:
The Exxon Nuclear Company, Inc. Materials License No. SNM-1679, Docket No. 70-2324 for operation of a centrifuge test facility expires on October 31, 1981.
It is hereby requested that the subject facility be included under License No. SNM-1227, Docket No. 70-125_7_ and that License No. SNM-1679 be terminated.
The facility has been emptied of contaminated equipment and exposed surfaces cleaned to less than 200 d/m direct and less than 200 d/m smearable. There may be slight contamination in the exhaust ductwork.
The inventory of Uranium-235 contained in uranium enriched to a maximum of 4% in the U-235 isotope is estimated to be less than 50 grams.
It is planned to maintain the facility as a controlled area with access restricted to authorized personnel and to maintain the ventilation system in operation.
