This is to confirm the coments made to you and your staff regarding the recent follow-up review of the Alabama regulatory program condu.ted by Messrs. E. C. Ashley and R. L. Woodruff.

Based on the results of the review, the staff believes that the State's program for controlling agreement material is adequate to protect the public health and safety and compatible with the programs of the Nuclear Regulatory Comission and the other Agreement Statet. We have no specific comments on the technical aspects of the program.
