8'.s. an,y uu This is the sixth periodic report presenting results of our ongoing \\gA
% us u efforts to detect potential radioactive water leakage frem the Contain-ment Building. The status of the various portions of this program are g
_Y,b, discussed below.
Groundwater Monitoring The following groundwater monitoring data is attached:
1.
Individual computer graphs (Figure 1) of tritium concentrations for each monitoring station and the East Dike Catch Bacin (EDCB) up to and including September 2, 1981.
2.
Individual computer graphs (Figure 2) indicating water levels within the monitoring stations up to and including October 7, 1981.
3.
Computer tables (Tables 1 and 2) of gamma scan data up to and including October 7, 1981 for MW-2 (results for all other wells are through September 2, 1981).
4.
A graph indicating gamma scan data from Monitoring Station MW 2 00 (Figure 3).
S 5.
Tables (3,4, and 5) indicating results of strontium analyses for the fourth calendar quarter of 1980 and the first and second gh glh quarters of 1981.
1 6.
A composite drawing showing all monitoring locatione with a graph $ chb M Q p of the tritium concentrations for each station.

o Mr. L. H. Barrett LL2-81-0263 Tritium concentrations for the reporting period of July 1, 1981 to Septembr.r 2,.1981 remained within the range of values seen in previous samples.
Camma results from all the well samples (except MW-2 and MW-4) obtained from August 5, 1981 and September 2, 1981 were less than LLD. The Cs-137 concen-tration of the MW-2 sample collected on September 2, 1981 was 8.12 1 4.41
_pCi/t. A reanalysis yielded a concentration of 9.24 1 4.26 pCi/1. Bcth of these concentrations are only slightly above the laboratory's LLD.
A Cs-137 concentration of the MW-4 sample collected on September 2, 1981 was 9.43 4.43 pCi/1. However, reanalysis of this sample showed no detectable Cs-137 (i.e. less than LLD). The MW-2 sample of October 7, 1981 showed a Cs-137 concentration of 33 1 7.1 pCi/1 and a Cs-134 concentraion of 9.7 3.5 pCi/L. A reanalysie of these samples has been requested.
In addition, we are expediting the analysis of the MW-4 October 7,'1981 sample.
Strontium-89 and -90 results for all wells have been normal. The small concentration of Sr-90 in the East Dike Catch Basin for the Second Quarter of 1981 can probably be attributed to fallout from atmospheric weapons testing.
Similar levels have been detected on our control samples _of various environ-mental media over that period.
Cork Seal, Tendon Access Callery and Containment Outer Wall Radiation Monitoricg Continued surveillance of the tendon gallery, cork seal and outer wall have shown no indication of containment leakage or significant changes.
Reactor Building Sump Water Level Figure 4 presents sump level data for the period January 1, 1980 through November 2, 1981.
Sump level measurements continue to correspond to predicted levels within the accuracy of the measuring technique. The notable decrease in sump level is due to SDS processing.
