Dear Sirs:
Your letter of October 6, 1981, requested revision of our proposed Physical Security Plan to incorporate the requirements of 10 CFR 73.60 should circumstances require it.
We have noted Federal Register publication of proposed regulations that will change requirements on non-power reactors by eliminating 10 CFR 73.60 and adding further requirements to 10 CFR 73.67.
It appears likely that, soon after the required submission of the changes to our security plan required by your letter, we will be required to submit further changes to the plan that meet the new provisions of part 73.67.
Further, we had not antici-pated some provisions of section 73.67 and a substantial effort will be required to make facility changes and to revise the security plan.
We, therefore, request an extension of the time allowed for submitting revisions to the security plan so that we may address the changes as required by the final version of the proposed rule changes published in the Federal Register on September 18, 1981, and the implementation schedule adopted.
An early decision on this request for an extension of filing time would be appre-ciated.
