EPIP 330-1 Rev. 0 2-18-81 CLASSIFICATION OF GSEP CONDITIONS A.
RJRPOSE:
The purpose of this procedure is to establish guidelines for classification of a GSEP condition.

FRECAUTIONS:
1.
The NRC must be notified as quickly as possible and definitely within 60 minutes after the discovery of an emergency condition.
The NRC must be notified of any activation of the emergency plan, i.e., Transportation Accident through General Emergency.

PROCEDURE:
1.
Assimilate and evaluate all available information pertinent to the accident.
2.
Refer to attached Table of Zion Emergency Action Levels (EAL's) to classify the event.
3.
Declare appropriate GSEP Condition 4.
Make necessary notifications as indicated in EPIP 110-1 G.

Type and quantity of hazardous material involved.

Whether a continuing danger to life or health exists at the scene.

Precautionary measures taken.
5.
The Station Director will then notify the necessary personnel as required.
6.
The Station Director will also insure that the Environmental Affairs Department is promptly notified of the incident.
7.
A written report shall be submitted within 15 days to the Illinois Emergency Services and Disaster Agency by the Environmental Affairs Department or the Comand Center Director.
