CONThACT NO. NRC-02SI-039 TASK ORDER NO. 8 When signed by the Contractor or Authorized Representative, this Task Order No. 8 becomes effective under Article II entitled " Task Orders" of the subject contract. The contractor shall acknowledge receipt of this Task Order No. ' imediately returning to HRC a copy of this letter signed below.
8 In accordance with Article XII entitled " Key Personnel" of the subject contract, services are requested as required by Roy Williams. The fMSS/Prcject Officer for this Trk Order No. 8 shall be LeRoy Person (see Article XII entitled
" Technical erection" of subject contract) who can be reached at (301) 427-4629.
The contractor shall perfom the effort specified in Article I entitled "Ctatement of Work," Tasks 1 and 4 and as further set forth below:
A.
Work Required (1) Cotter Corporation Hill The contractor shall review, monitor, and make recomendations on efforts of the Cotter Corporation to delineate the potential path of contaminated groundwater from the old impoundment and implenent appropriate remedial actions.
B B.
Reporting Requirements The contractor shall subnit a monthly report of activities conducted under this task order.
The contractor shall p epare a trip report for all travel associated with this project within 14 working days of such travel.

Tra_ vel and Meetings The contractor shall perfom 2 site visits to the Cotter Corporation Mill Site to assess remedial neasures associated with tailing transfer and con' ml of contamination.

-2 This effort is expected to oe performed over a 12 month period beginning with the effective date and through September 30, 1982 (the period of perfomance).

to make judicious use of the support personnel and facilities to obtain high quality results within the allowable time frame at the lowest overall cost. Maximum costs for this project under this Task Order is $7,000.00 The contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer within ten (10) business days after receipt of this Task Order No. 8.
Said notification shall contain.
the Contractor's estimate of the required total ceiling price. Notwithstanding said notification, the Contractor shall comence performance of the statement of work as indicated herein. Withinten(10)businessdaysafterreceiptof the above referenced notification from the Contractor, the Contracting Officer shall either ratify the original total ceiling price or adapt the Contractor's-revised estimates or some combination of the two and ravise or confirm the task order accordingly.
In the event the Contractor m mains of the belief that the total ceiling price is inadequate to complete the assigned task order, the Contractor shall, upon his written request to the Contracting Officer, submitted within ten (10) business days after his receipt of the Contracting Officer's confimation or amendment of the pertinent task order, be excused from further perfomance of such task.
In such event, the Contractor shall be paid for work perfomed to that date in accordance with the provisions of Article IV. Your attention is directed to Article VI entitled " Task Order Ceilings."
This autnorization does not amend any tems or cond-itions of the contract.
