Relief from the schedule is necessitated by l

unforeseen delays in the procurement of some of the hardware for the modifications described in the October 14, 1981 letter, as l

well as the following additional modifications: electrical l

supervision of fire doors as approved in the staff's Supplement l

No. 1 to the Safety Evaluation of the Peach Bottom Atomic Power j

Station Fire Protection Program, item 3.2.6 (R.

W.

Reid to E.

G.

l Bauer, dated August 14, 1980).

The delivery schedule of the hardware and our request for an extension of the completion date from November 17, 1981, to January 19, 1982, were discussed in a

(

telephone conversation with the staff's Peach Bottom Project Manager on November 6, 1981.
