g 9-1 What is meant by CFilR is that " Applicant has failed to make adequate efforts to maintain radioactive exposut es and releases of radioactive materials in effluents to unrestricted areas as low as reasonably achievable."

9-7 The functionof the following variables: content of release: conditions of release; meterological transport factors: ecological transpot t factors; and population characteristics.

9-8 Majority of the total body person-rem and person thyroid-rem exposure.

That distance which will include ninety-five percent (95?,) of total cumulative body person rem and person thyroid-rem exposure.

9-9 The following may cause effects outside of the exclusion boundary:

meterological factors (e.g. wind, temperature), ecological factors (e.g. intake by livestock or fish), plant uptake; intake by human population.

9 - 11 (a) Yes. There is a total absence of any data which attempts to minimize the effect of radioactive releases on the general public outside of the exclusion boundary.

(b) Since there is a total absence of this data, no section can be identified.

There is some confusion here as the primary part of this interrogatory asks about the ER-OL while the subparagraph (b) asks about the FSAR.

Respectfully submitted.
