Pursuant to the requirements of Technical Specifications, Section 6.9.4.a, the following is reported as Licensee Event Report 50-29/
81-29, Failure Of Relays In The MC Flow (MCP Current) Trip System.
hhile 1,erforming OP-4606, Main Coolant Flow Trip (Main Coolant Pump Current) Functional Test, the System A loop 4 Phase B Undercurrent Relay and the System B loop 2 Phase A and Loop 4 Phase C Undercurrent Relays failed to trip. The relays were manually tripped, then exercisod several times with the relays functioning properly each time.
Inspection and cleaning of the relays will be performed.
A 14 day report will follow.
