Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

Enclosed is our final report on I. E. Bulletin No. 80-11 activities at Surry Power Station. he reanalysis indicated in our letter of August 25, 1981 has been completed and the results are included in our final report. his report provides the results of the masonry wall g
reevaluation program and provides documentation updatirg our previous 3
submittals. Rather than being comprehensive and resubnitting information previously provided, this report contains a stmanary of the masonry wall review program and references our previous submittals where more detailed infor: nation has been provided.
In summary, the analysis results of the masonry wall reevaluation program for Surry show that 79 walls were acceptable, two walls were 1
acceptable after equipment was removed from the wall, 31 walls were modified, and 7 walls were not acceptable. All of the walls found not to meet the reevaluation criteria required by IE Bulletin 80-11 are located in the Fuel Building. Failure of these walls under extreme seismic or tornado loadirs would not jeopardize any safety-related equipment as s
covered by the Station %chnical Specifications limiting conditions for operation. he analysis results for the 7 Fuel Building walls were 4
sutmitted to the NRC in Licensee Event Report No. 81-020/03L-0 by our 4
letter of August 21, 1981, Serial No.81-047. Our future correspondence on this subject will be in response to the LER rather than I.E.Bulletin 80-11.
