2j The purpose of this letter is to notify you that th'e) Nuclear Regulatory Conmission has resumed its environmental review of the proposed Clinch River Breeder Reactor Plant and to request a list of threatened and en-dangered species as prescribed by the Endangered Species Act.

Enclosed is a copy of Figure 3.3 from our Final Environmental Statement which was issued on this project in 1977. The figure shows the site location at the eastern edge of the Oak Ridge Reservation in Tennessee.

In the event additional information is needed for the purpose of prepar-ing the list, please contact Paul H. Leech of this office on FTS 492-8474.

We would appreciate your response to this request within two weeks so that we can give it appropriate attention within our review schedule.
