Thank you for your letter dated September 25, 1981 in which you forward a petition and express your concerns related to evacuation of the Pampton Beach area if there were an accident at Seabrook Station. Your letter has been entered into the case docket.
Tne Public Service Company of Hew Hampshire has recently filed an application for an operating license that includes a detailed safety analysis report and an environmental report. Appropriate notices in the Federal Re'9ister and local newspapers are planned for October 19, 1931. When these notices appear, as set forth in the notices, there will be an opportunity for concerned individuals and groups to file petitions to intervene and request a hearing, as well as file proposed contentions under the provisions of Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.714.
Persons not a party to this proceeding may also be afforded an opportunity to make linited appearance statenents pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR $2.715.
The 1,'RC staff, in conjunction with the Federal Eaergency fianagement Agency, will conduct a review of the emergency preparedness provisions of the Seabrook appilcation as part of its overall review program.
It is suggested that your efforts be planned to provide for the input of your concerns into this matter within the above described framework established for that purpose.
