Dear Mr. Price:
In the past few weeks we have received seven requests from your office for Departmental comments on nuclear generating stations, in accord with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969. Some of the proposals are extensive and will require detailed responses. Because of this influx of unprogram-med work, added to our already demanding load, it is impossible to meet the imposed deadlines. I am, therefore, requesting the following reporting dates: Docket Titic Date Number 50-329, 330 Midland Units 1 and 2, Michigan Sept. 18 50-249 Dresden Unit 3, Illinois Sept. 22 50-247 Indian Point Unit 2, New York Sept. 30 50-346 Davis-Besse Unit 1, Ohio Oct. 7 50-3S3 Forked River Unit 1, New Jersey Oct. 13 50-361, 362 San Onofre Units 2 and 3, Oct. 16 California The report on North Anna Units 1 and 2 (50-338 and 339) will be forwarded to you next week.
