NRC Docket Nos. 50-373/374 Reference (a):
L. O. DelGeorge letter to A. Schwencer dated October 9, 1981.
Dear Mr. Schwencer:
The purpose of thi:1 transmittal is to provide additional clarification of the proposed FSAR transmitted in Reference (a).
The clarification statement was requested by Mr. A.
Bournia and the content agreed upon in a discussion on October 29, 1981.
The additional information provided in the attached enclosure identifies the valve position indication circuits as instrument circuits which are protected by fusing in the control circuit feed.
As stated in Reference (a), it is our intention to document this proposed revision in a future amendment to the FSAR.
If there are any questions in this regard, please direct them to this office.
Very truly yours, b

These circuit breakers will be directly in series with the primary protection circuit breakers.
Also, by the end of the first refueling outage redundant (backup) circuit protection de-vices will be installed on all control circuits penetrating primary containment, which do not already have backup circuit protection devices and which may be energized et--any ti c during plant operation.h No ads g enal prgtection is planned for any instrumentation bircuit7 penetratahg primary containment, htuu SU sittee all of the circui s are of such low enerey that potential short circuit energy 1 /els would have no adverse effect on the penetration seals.
